And Then There Were None
Northern White Rhinoceros – Extinct
Graphite on paper | 76.5 x 37 cm
This work depicts the Northern White Rhinoceros, a subspecies which now consists of only three living animals left in the world. The trio of adults are kept in a Kenyan preserve under armed guard 24-7 in an attempt to protect them from poachers still actively seeking their horns. All efforts to recover their numbers have failed. They will soon be gone.

Silent Encounter
North American Bull Moose
Watercolour on paper | 93 x 64.6 cm
This work was inspired by an idea that often occurs to those travelling throughout the right parts of North America and Canada. What if you were out on the trail, snow falling silently, the cold seeping in through your clothing...when you glanced over and saw an animal like that standing nearby? Its power and majesty would be both confronting and breathtaking at the same time...

This work depicts a row of seven lilac-breasted rollers, a brightly coloured species of bird found in sub-Saharan Africa and the southern Arabian Peninsula.
Their vivid plumage is unmistakable in its vibrancy, with both males and females alike displaying beautiful hues of soft lilac, azure blue, iridescent pinks and luminous golds.

Superb Fairy-wrens
Watercolour and gouache on paper | 50.7 x 40.6 cm
The splendid blue plumage of the superb fairy-wren is almost certainly the reason it is often referred to as a favourite among the Australian birds.
This work depicts three wrens basking in some highly sought warmth under a winter sun.
